Driving Lessons for Old Town (Senamiestis) Residents
Old Town is the only part of Vilnius listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its narrow cobbled streets, the Cathedral, Gediminas' Tower and the Vilnius University ensemble. Because of this dense historic layout, residents here often need driving skills more for trips to other parts of the city than for getting around the Old Town itself.
Old Town carries a fair number of traffic restrictions: some streets are reserved for residents or service vehicles only, speeds are limited, and pedestrians and cyclists are everywhere. Beginner drivers from this area usually find it easier to build initial skills on quieter streets first, then work up to the tight turns and dense traffic typical of the historic centre.
Vilniaus vairavimo mokykla's premises are in Karoliniškės, at V. Druskio g. 2, where theory classes are held – easy enough to reach from Old Town by public transport. Practical driving routes are arranged individually with your instructor, mixing calmer streets with more demanding situations. We teach categories B, A, A1, A2 and others, and the price is the same whether you take only practical training or theory together with practical.
