Driving Lessons for Žirmūnai Residents
Žirmūnai sits on the right bank of the Neris river, north of the city centre, and is considered the most populous district in Vilnius. It is a Soviet-era planned neighbourhood of apartment blocks with wide avenues and heavy car traffic, which makes solid driving skills genuinely useful for everyday life here.
The street layout in Žirmūnai features wide avenues, numerous signalled intersections and dense traffic during rush hour, while nearby Tuskulėnai Peace Park offers calmer stretches for practice. The district borders Antakalnis and Šnipiškės, so driving out of Žirmūnai usually means crossing the Neris river – a manoeuvre we specifically cover in the training programme.
Theory classes are held at Vilniaus vairavimo mokykla's premises in Karoliniškės, at V. Druskio g. 2, on the other side of the centre – reachable comfortably by public transport. Practical lessons are arranged by your instructor along routes convenient for Žirmūnai and neighbouring areas. We run courses for categories B, A, A1, A2 and others, at the same price whether you take practical training alone or theory together with practical.
